SpoCam Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 November 2026

日本語のプライバシーポリシー / Japanese Privacy Policy

This policy describes the advertising-supported version of SpoCam, operated by スポカメ運営 (SpoCam Operations) in Japan. It covers the iPhone app. The website has a separate website privacy policy (Japanese).

SpoCam’s features are free, with no new in-app purchase required. You do not need a SpoCam account. Your recordings are processed on your device, but the advertising and consent services described below process information of their own.

1. Recording and editing information

SpoCam uses the camera and microphone to record video, audio and still photos. It uses device orientation and tilt for screen orientation, Framing Reminder and the level guide. Available storage, battery level and charging state are used for on-screen indicators and recording safeguards.

Settings, control layouts, marked play times and types, highlight names, player names, memos, timestamps and working video files are stored on the device to support recording, trimming, combining, editing and saving.

The app does not include an upload service that sends your recorded picture or sound, entered names, memos, timestamps, recording orientation, or the displayed battery and storage values to our servers or includes those items in advertising requests.

This does not mean that advertising or consent SDKs collect no device, network, usage or diagnostic information. Those services are explained below.

2. Photos, Apple services and sharing

SpoCam saves recording results to Apple’s Photos app with your permission. Photos captions can contain the memo and play timestamps. Automatic caption entry depends on the iOS version and the Photos access you allow.

Your iCloud Photos and device backup settings may cause Apple to sync or back up your files. If you choose to share a video with YouTube or another service, that service’s practices apply. SpoCam does not automatically upload your videos to those services.

Apple may provide the operator with its App Store, TestFlight, sales or diagnostic reports according to Apple’s services and your settings. See Apple’s privacy information.

3. Where advertising appears

The advertising-supported app uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK for banners and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for privacy choices.

Two banner placements are used at the top and bottom of Review Recording after saving. The banner content is limited to 60 points in height. There are no ad placements on the filming or Settings screen.

SpoCam requests new ads only while an eligible saved review is visible in the foreground, with the privacy state checked. It does not request new ads while recording, paused or saving. Recording, saving and returning to the camera do not require watching, tapping or waiting for an ad. If an ad cannot be requested or loaded, it can be omitted.

These rules govern the app’s requests. They do not mean that every SDK operation or network request already in progress stops instantly when the screen changes.

Internal TestFlight builds may use Google’s sample ads. The same SDK and consent-service considerations apply when those components are included. Earlier versions that do not include advertising SDKs are outside this advertising-specific description.

4. Advertising and consent-service information

Depending on the SDK configuration, privacy selections, network request and ad response, Google’s advertising and consent services may process these categories:

Information Examples and purposes
Network and approximate location IP address and an approximate area derived from it; used for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and determining relevant privacy messages.
Device identifiers App- or developer-bounded device identifiers; used for advertising, measurement and analytics. The app’s current configuration does not use Apple’s advertising identifier, IDFA.
Product interactions Interactions with ads or privacy forms and SDK-related use events; used for advertising measurement, analytics and consent management.
Advertising data Information about ads shown or interacted with; used for advertising and measurement.
Crash data SDK or app crash information; used to diagnose and improve reliability.
Performance data Startup, responsiveness and other performance measurements; used for service operation, advertising and analysis.
Other diagnostic data Technical information used to deliver, troubleshoot and improve advertising services.

Some advertising information can be associated with a device or identifier even when you have not entered your name or created an account. UMP also declares approximate location, performance and interaction information for consent-related app functionality. This is not a promise that every listed category is sent in every request.

We do not add an independent third-party audience-analytics SDK or send your recordings and entered memos to an AI service. Advertising-service analytics are still part of the advertising services.

See Google’s iOS SDK data disclosure and Google’s Privacy Policy.

5. Recipients and non-personalized advertising

The app requests non-personalized ads and disables Google’s publisher first-party ID setting. These choices do not make advertising anonymous or eliminate data collection.

Google processes advertising and consent information. Advertising buyers and technology providers participating in Google’s ad delivery and bidding can also receive permitted information. For example, Google explains that non-personalized bid requests remove certain user identifiers but can still include device or browser signals and a truncated IP address. Which recipients and data apply depends on the request and privacy conditions.

If a privacy form includes an advertising-partner list, use that list to review the relevant providers. A general provider list does not mean that all listed providers receive every request.

The app’s current advertising configuration does not request IDFA access or show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. This statement describes the current configuration; non-personalized ads and the absence of an IDFA request do not by themselves establish that no data is collected or resolve every privacy requirement.

Apple’s SKAdNetwork can support aggregate advertising attribution without IDFA. It is separate from permission to track across other companies’ apps and websites.

Further information: Google’s explanation of non-personalized bidding and how Google uses information from partner apps.

6. Privacy choices and permissions

Where required and configured for your region, Google’s UMP service presents advertising privacy messages. The available choices and wording depend on the relevant message and service configuration.

When a privacy-options entry is required, open Settings → Ad Privacy Choices in SpoCam to review or change your selection. Your choice does not make the camera, zoom, highlights or saving a paid feature. Refusing consent does not guarantee that an ad will be shown. Changing a choice does not automatically delete information already processed.

If the privacy form cannot be opened, check your connection and try again later, or contact us. We do not use an advertising choice to override an iPhone tracking refusal.

You can change camera, microphone, motion and Photos permissions in your iPhone settings. Revoking a permission may disable the corresponding feature. Advertising privacy choices are separate from camera and microphone permissions.

7. Previous purchases

There are no new paid plans or ad-removal purchases in the current app. Apple StoreKit may be used to check previously verified purchase history. Payment card details are not collected by the app, and the app does not send that history to an operator server.

Current feature access does not depend on buying a plan. Updating or deleting SpoCam does not itself cancel an old Apple subscription, erase Apple’s purchase history or issue a refund. Check your subscription status through Apple.

8. Retention and deletion

You manage and delete videos and photos saved in Photos using Apple’s Photos app. After required saving and processing have finished and you choose Finish / Record Again, SpoCam normally clears the completed recording’s app working copies. Failed or interrupted saves and previously retained recordings may remain on the device for recovery. Timestamps that could not be entered into Photos automatically may be kept locally for later copying.

Deleting the app removes its locally stored settings and working data from the device, subject to Apple’s backup and restoration behavior. It does not delete items already saved in Photos or necessarily remove device or cloud backups. Do not uninstall SpoCam while you still need an unsaved recording.

Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete information already received by Google, advertising providers, Apple or an email service. Their retention and deletion practices are described in their policies and privacy controls. For questions about information you have sent directly to us, contact the address below.

9. Support messages and international processing

If you email support, we use the email address, message, attachments and diagnostic details you provide to respond to and investigate the request. Our mailbox uses Gmail. Send only what is needed; avoid passwords, payment details and unnecessary personal information or recordings of other people.

Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle the inquiry and related issues, or meet applicable obligations. You can contact us about access to or deletion of information you sent to us. We will assess requests in light of the information we hold and applicable requirements.

The operator is based in Japan. Apple, Google and their providers may process information in other countries under their own terms and privacy arrangements. This policy does not state that all information remains in your country.

If you are a parent or guardian with a privacy concern involving a child, please contact us. SpoCam does not require an in-app public profile or provide an in-app social network.

10. Updates and contact

We will update this page when the app’s information practices change. Check the date above for the latest version. Important changes may also be explained on the official site or in the app’s release information.
